ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

The Arora Family Charitable Foundation, a private independent foundation, was established in 2000. AFCF financially supports the “passion projects” of its trustees across a broad spectrum of causes including animal rescue, wildlife conservation, music education and therapy, specialized higher education, and promoting healthy relationships. The AFCF is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization managed by Alan Arora, together with the other family trustees.

In 2003 AFCF created an endowment for the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese to support one of the most urgent needs of the department: graduate student funding. For almost two decades, the Dr. Shirley L. Arora Graduate Fellowship, under the direction of the Department’s Chair, has provided substantial support to its graduate students.
